Weekend In Moscow
(1990 /2002, 11:26) A humorous and ironic non-fiction first-person travel art video by camcorder correspondent Skip Blumberg. It's a culture clash as a group of high-living American art aficionados (including collectors Mera and Donald Rubell, curators David Ross and Branka Bogdanov, and artist Rosemary Trockel) tour the Moscow studios of the unofficial artists, an underground community of talented, courageous and often wacky conceptual artists during the fall of the Soviet Union. The camcorder diary exposes an insider’s view of the art world and, at the same time, is a video about making a video.
